1972 Starflite Stalls out When @ Operating Temperature

I have a 1972 Evinrude Starflite 125hp that runs great when you first start it, but after cruising around for 20 or so minutes on the water it will stall out whether its idling or throttled. Itll turn over after it stalls out but will not start. Its not over heated, and has fuel coming to it. Once it sits and cools down though it'll start right back up and run again for awhile until it starts to warm up then the process repeats itself.

Any Ideas?

well, the statement regarding heat and then stalling out, leads me to think it is electrically related. Possibly an ignition coil, or powerpack?

agree ^^ check your spark, when it quits.

It has a spark when it dies, and theres fuel coming through the filter. Every now it then it almost catches then quits. On a stroke of luck it may get itself running in the start position, but dies instantly when you put it in idle.
