Changed the lower unit oil on this new for me motor, Im tinkering with while waiting on water pump and other things to arrive.
After tilting the motor back up fluid was leakin out of a small hole on the port side.
Why is this leaking oil from there? Missing a small set screw? Also noticed some leaking between the exhaust housing and lower unit?
And why is there random small holes around the top of the lower unit?
Thank you,
Mike

Very likely that is exhaust residue it will probably smell gassy not oily.
Various holes are probably to be sure water drains when removed from the water.
