Hello All,

Got my dad's boat and it dies at full throttle. If it is in neutral you can throttle as much as you want, but when you put it in forward or reverse and go more than 1/2 throttle it dies.

Got any suggestions?

The fuel pump probably has a small hole in the diaphram. Get a fuel pump kit.

Ahhh, I always forget: Try squeeze the bulb when it bogs down. If the rpm's goes up it sure is the fuel pump.

DJ,

There isn't a vent screw on the tank. I tried with the cap loose and with the cap off the tank and it still acted the same way upon full throttle.

The problem is still not resolved. I rebuilt the fuel pump and replaced the fuel line, connectors and bulb.

I'll take your suggestion and pull the carb and check for green or white, but green or white what?

I'm a novice so you'll have to forgive me.
