1973 65esl-73r Temp gauge ?

I'm recommissioning a 1973 65esl-73r and curious if there's a way to add a temp gauge on this motor ?

pic shows thermostat housing wire on right goes to a temp switch(according to seloc diagram) guessing this is just for overheat ?

yes that is just for the overheat alarm. for a temp gauge, if you have a threaded blank near the cylinder head they make a sensor that screws in, then attaches to a gauge. The other option is a sensor that just sits agains the cylinder head and is held down by one of the bolts already there

May I ask what you ended up doing in the end with this?
I'm looking at doing the same thing. what guage did you use?

Also are you running a tacho? if so what type
