1973 9.5 Johnson misses...

how many turns out from lightly seated is a good starting point on a 9.5 Johnson carb? besides a miss adjusted carb, what else would it to miss? there are no fuel/air leaks noticeable.

Ignition fault likely to cause it to miss. check for two good healthy sparks capable of jumping 1/4"

inspect/ check, clean, adjust points. Inspect coils and HT leads. Fit new plugs (J4C gapped at 0.030")
