I have a 1973 5 Hp eska that I hope someone out there can answer some of my questions.
I carried my outboard to the river to try it out after I had installed new points and condenser, rebuilt the carb, and installed a new impeller.
The motor cranked on the second pull and seemed to run fine.
I decided to troll and fish some but when I slowed the motor down,I if started to skip and pop. The motor runs great at higher speeds its just the lower speed that buggin me.
By lower speed I mean between the stop and run position on the trottle lever.
Will a float that is to high or to low cause the rough idle?I reset the float level using a 11/64 bit. I tried to richen up the air mixture but it didn't make any differance.Do all the iskas do this?
Any advise will be helpful.
