Slow down a bit and give some more detail.
Motor cranks ??? does it crank and start or not ??
No water coming out ?? Is the motor on muffs or in the lake / tank / water etc ???
Water pump is not a difficult job if you are reasonably mechanically minded and have tools.
Why do you need a throttle cable ???
Give some history of the motor from when you got it. You will get a much better response from there.

Re: 1973 Evinrude 115 Help!

it has been sittin up for around 10 years. it now cranks by the switch and will idle great with the muffs on. but the motor is not peeing...maybe a water pump is needed...im not sure. i do not have a manual. but also what is a good starting battery bc im having trouble keeping mine charged. and how many cranking amps is needed. the motor is idling fine once the battery can crank it up it is just not peeing. im not sure where it is supposed to pee from. maybe the 2 larger parallel holes about half way up the motor? but also when i engage into the forward position the level moves some but does not move once i push it forward to increase speed. please help thanks. it is a 1973 evenrude 115. any other tips would be great!

You will not get an endorsement to overpower your boat on iboats.

Yup the exhaust ports but you'd be hard pressed to see much on muffs, run it in a barrel and see if it spits (not peeing) from those holes.

And as far as overpowering most on here won't tell you to "go for it", boats have ratings for a reason- sure it may work or it may not, may break the transom off the boat causing it to sink and take you with it, it may not however. Are you willing to take the risk? If so that is your choice.

Re: 1973 Evinrude 115 Help!

You should see water spitting from the two exhaust relief ports on the back of the midsection after the water fills the midsection.

The 85HP and 115HP in this V4 series weighed about the same so that is less of a consideration than is the horsepower rating.
