Can someone Point out what seals( Numbers) I need to replace for my gear / lower unit. the gear oil is coming Out super milky. And Is this a job a back yard handy man can do? iv havent worked on boat motor's much. special tools, home made tools??
Can't read the numbers on your breakdown, old eyes. Look at the site below at numbers 5,31,59,33,46,71,27, basicly any gasket or seal between lower unit oil and water. As I see it the hardest part might be removing the bearing housing and seal, #28. It will take a puller to remove it and then a pair of big snap ring pliers to remove #22.
I would suggest that you get a factory manual and read through it a couple of times and see if you think you can do it. http://www.ishopmarine.com/ishop/js...CatFilter=BRP&eCatSupFldr=supplier-100-005-EJ
