I recently pulled my dads old boat out of my garage. I know It hasn't ran for at least 7 years because my dad had passed away when I was 16. I have alot of experience working on small engines, and ussually know what to look for when an engine has problems. I am not getting any spark, so the first thing I thought was to dissconnect the kill switch, but I cannot find a kill switch. Does anyone know if it has one? I have looked on parts websites and have found a shorting switch, which I would assume is the kill switch, but I cannot find it on the engine. By the low speed adjustment knob it does say stop above "Lean", do you just lean it out to kill it?
