Sure, offer them 400 and if they balk just start walking, they will take your offer. Looks like a freshwater setup. The motor and controls are worth 400 all day long. Trailer is worth 150.When was it last in the water? Is seller willing to take you for a sea trial? You have to make sure the engine is good.

yeah he will start it up with it in a barrel filled with water. I hope he replaced the transom underneath the plywood floor

The motor hangs on the transom. Grab it while it is the down postion and locked. Then try to lift it from the skeg and see if the transom flexs. Some people will stand on the cavitation plates and bounce up and down to see if the transom flexes that way. It should remain stiff. The stringers are under the floor and are supposed to be fiberglass encapuslated, but water can still seep into them if not properly stored and drained. There are DYI write ups on both subects. Also a little article on the home page of www.fiberglassics.com which also has a glassified library that may have info on your model in the MFG section

thanks for the great input. I think I will purchase and try to redo it. He fiberglassed the floor but did not put fiberglass on the 3/4inch plywood. I might just seal it and carpet it thats all.
