Here is my first build, I always wanted a small cabin cruiser so here it is . Gutted it down to the hull and replaced everything. fun boat now and a good family float.
I used all treated plywood, poly urethane adhesive and gator foam for the cabin. It is a 1/2" Styrofoam with hard vinyl on both sides. I figure that will help it float in case of a swamp. also used all coated and stainless screws.
It has:
roof hatch
AM/FM/cd/mp3 player with 4 speakers
lighted compass
bilge from a motor home 3gpm flow
car horn
lighter to charge the phone
lights replaced with led's with and extended light pole at stern and bow
inside has a removable table top with epoxy finish
Also the seat cover panels on the inside flip up to make a 7'x6' sleeping area
The roof is strong enough to hold 2 to grown men on it. Great diving platform.
roof has 3 layers of mesh and gel coat for strength
also lights on the inside and captain map lights
New carpeting on floor ,seats and walls inside the cabin
Seat boxes for a fridge and stove (still working on that ) got the stove trying to find a 12 volt fridge
There is also 3 coats of HPU clear coat with anti slip on the roof.
The windows are from 2 truck caps and the small one crank open. The front ones are made from plexiglass
Matched the paint as close to the original as I could
running a 67 Chrysler 75 hp. and a 73 Evinrude 6 hp. both 2 stroke
I tried to keep it all around the same time period for the
"old school look"

As you can see lots of love put into the old boy, that's right it is a boy being as there is only enough room for 1 women in my life :)

Cheers and happy boating to all!
Captain Dave

Looks comfortable ! How does it handle ? Does it feel top heavy with the higher COG now ?
