Hey yall I wanted to see if I can get some help. I am working on a 1973 Seaking 9.6 for a guy that lives down the street from me. This motor is in perfect condition and use to be well taken care of. The outboard was sitting in a garage for about 2-3 years and it was the guys grandpa's outboad. The carb was really gummed up and I cleaned it 5 times and got it to run. The problem with the carb is that the corrosion inside of the carb had got so bad that it ate out most of the metal and I have leaks and it is beyond repair. I have to find a used carb or a replacement. I dont know where to start on this and I am not sure where to get one. I did find a 1970 seaking 9.6 carb on ebay and it almost looks like it would work but I am not sure if it would work for sure or not and I would hate to have this guy waste 50 dollars on a carb that did not work. So does anyone know where I can buy a replacement carb anywhere? EDIT
Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Rob
