Re: 1973 Starcraft 16ft. SS Rebuild Pics

HI, Guys, Just a update. The boat has not been worked on for a long time now. I was in major car wreck thank to a DD and I am still not back to work but I am getting there. Its been a long struggle with multiple surgery's but I should make a full recovery except on possible my right shoulder. Anyways I pulled the boat out of the pole barn last week and brought it in to my garage to start working on again My boy is doing most of the lifting as I cant and he is running the saws now as well. Saturday we finally got the last piece cut for the floor for the very tip of the bow. We could not find the old piece so we had to cut that piece 6 or 7 times to make it fit correct. Sunday I was up in the top of the pole barn looking for the bow mounted aluminum piece and cushions and ran across the last piece of flooring that we tore out. The bow piece!! LOL I sure wish we could have found that Saturday as it would have saved a lot of time!! LOL I will get some pics up soon.

Isn't that that way it goes, Z? Glad you're able to work on her again. I know what you mean about the shoulder, the left one for me. Hang in there and get the SS floating again. :)

glad to see you back, and glad to see you doing something other than sitting around in front of a TV while you recuperate. yeah, put that kid to work. has to be good for both his ego and the parental bonding to have him know that you actually NEED his help now.

Man, that's a tough brake on the accident. Boat resto is a great way to stay positive...and it sounds like you have some help! May you have a swift and full recovery!

now back to business:
- I'm really digging that original paint color!
