Ok, I suspect the two drain tubes in the splash well are holding the splashwell and the top cap to the transom. Take chisel and knock the inside flandge off and then punch the tubes out the back side. I'd bet the cap comes off.

Those tubes are actually well below the the cap, they only go through the transom and i think i can see some type of a sealant glob up between the can and transom, i will post a pic of it later today when i get home from work

The Tubes circled in Red appear to go thru the splashwell and the splashwell IS part of the Top cap!!! They MUST be Removed.

Tubes are out and the cap still wont budge at all so it has to be sealed in there

Ok, is the cap loose everywhere else except at the transom area around the splashwell?

Yup and underneath i can see a glob of grey sealant, not sure what it is, i will post a pic of it in a little bit

I'm thinkin a sawzall and carefully try to work it under a thin layer of the wood and the cap is gunna be your best bet. If you make a boo boo you can fix it when you become a "professional Glasser" and believe me when you're done you WILL BE

Well i guess i need to look around for a good sawzall for a decent price then, really want to get the cap off and start some repairs. I have a ton to learn since this is my first boat, but i am pretty good with my hands and excited to get it going. What does PL stand for?
