Took my boat out last year after the water pump was replaced. Was hard to start and wouldn't idle long befor it konked. I had to put it in gear quickly after start to keep it running. It ran fine at slow speed, but when I revd up to high speed, it bogged down and died. This model Johnson 85ESL74B has two dual barrel carbs. I didn't use or try to fix it until now. My diagnosis is a stuck needle valve in the high speed carb. Is that a good diag? The motor had set up for a while before I had the water pump replaced.
