1974 85hp Johonson water pump remove & install

I think i need to put a new water pump on my 85hp i am a chevy tech but new to the boat motor world any help would be great

Disconnect shift linkages behind lower carburetor.--There is one bolt ( 5/8" wrench ) to be removed.----------Then you need 7 bolts and a trim tab from the lower unit area on the bench to remove the lower unit.

Don't take the bolt all the way out. Just enough to spread the arms to disconnect the shift rod.

Don't lose the small plastic bushing (318590) in the upper shift rod connector 'cause it's NLA.
