I am looking at a 1974 alumacraft. It is fourteen feet. Rated at 620# people, 820# overall, 25hp. The boat is in really nice shape. It is on a 1997 Load Rite trailer and has a 8hp Merc that is in the 2000's but hardly used.

I wanted a newer boat but might consider this one because of it's nice condition.

I've been on NADA. Just curious how much you all think the boat might be worth?

Little more info. It has the three bench seats with a fourth little seat up front.
I took a picture of the coast guard info plate while I was looking at it. The model might be F7. The seven is easier to see than the F.

The model F and the later more heavy duty built F7 were Alumacrafts most popular and most sold boats. Many other later model boats are based on the early F's. You will not regret buying one. If in good shape they'll increase in value through the years. It's hard to put a value on a package deal but around here in Minn. & Wis. the boat only could run up to $800 easy.

As for wanting a newer boat? Depends on usage. It may not be better for your use, as compromises are made between these old style boats and the new boats. As for me, I prefer the overall performance advantages of these old style boats over the advantages that the new style boats have.
