I am trying to resurrect a motor that has been sitting for about 10+ years. I rebuilt the carb and found a nipple under the carb attached to the housing under where the carb attaches. I also found a hose leading from above the fuel pump not attached to anything. The question is this. The diam of the nipples are drasticly different in size and unless I use a reducer to attach the nipples there is no way it fits. Sooo... is there a part missing? Am I attaching the hose to the right place? I purchased a service manual by Clymer and it does not show. Help!!!!!!!

I'm not real familiar with your engine, but it looks like the recirc line just runs from the bottom of the block into the bypass cover over the fuel pump. Not sure about the difference in diameter - mabey just heat to expand.<br /> Pic of a '71, click here.
