I’ve been asked to help with a young man’s motor, 17 yr old, and I got it running pretty well but it starts running hot after about 10 20 minutes. The impeller is working fine, I did the drill attached to drive shaft test and produces a good solid stream of water. But if I let it sit and idle it runs hot. There is a steady trickle of water from the 6 or 8 holes and a constant mist as the exhaust pushes it out. I took the head off and checked for build up and it had some calcium/lime as you’d expect but nothing major. The air and water test from the inlet in the shaft show good flow. It starts smoking and if you sprinkle water on the head it’ll boil. Same on the spark plugs but I’d expect that.

Video is water at idle just after starting up. Is that enough?
