sorry couldn't resist.
There's keyswitch, neutral safety switch and overtemp warning horn in there. A direct short to ground would blow the fuse (20A fuse, inline fuse holder on the powerhead near the main wiring harness plug).
Is it warm all the time, or does it heat up just when the motor's running, or with the switch in the "on" position?
What accessories do you have that only get power when the keyswitch is "on"? The electric choke is one, what about tachometer or other gauges?
Is everything working ok?
