Hi
I just bought an old johnson and it does start and run in a barrell of water. It seems inevitable that these oldies have pieces from various places since time naturally takes it tool but I was wondering if there is anyone that could clarify something the seller told me - not sure if he was hinting something about the motor or not.
He mentioned to use a 40 to 1 ratio for the fuel which seems different from the 50 to 1 ratio I thought was normally used.
Does this "hint" suggest something about the state of the motor? I am thinking low compression but maybe something else is the cause for this hint. Will be getting the manual and service catalog/users manual.
In the meantime I will be poking around. If anyone has any poking around suggestions please let me know....
Thanks in advance....
