1975 25hp johnson

I just purchased this motor and when going forwards it surges (jumps) about every minuite or two. It's fine at idle and reverse. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Read my post on 71 20hp Johnson smokes at idle. It also had your same problem. But mine didn't idle smooth. Pop and sputter every now and then.

Thanks for the info, mine surges more than a little now and then. But it gave me some more things to check.
