So I found this ad on craigslist about 10 minutes ago and the owner is about 2 hours away from my location. I thought to post it here and see what you guys think. It's hard to see much from the photos he provided but I will see if I can get more. Do you guys think this is a good boat to restore and worth looking into? Or should I just walk away and don't bother. I would love to have something bigger than my 19' and with a cabin so with this price thought maybe it would be worth it. Depending on many factors of course so I will wait for the pro advice! Thanks.

Hoping to go look at this vessel if he responds and you guys see fit.

Unless you have VERY deep pockets and are in the mood to be punished a long time.......... I would avoid a 1975 flybridge. That is a huge project with many hidden pitfalls

At $500 he's basically giving it away.

As Bob_VT indicated it could turn into quite a project but at least you'll know going in you'll have at least engine rebuild/replacement to work on.

If you have room to store it for free and access to an appropriate hoist to pull the engine out, what's the most you could lose?

Maybe check with your local disposal agency so if you decide to dump it after buying it, is there a place to take it and dump it for free.
