Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just bought a 1983 Lowe Lunker lll, with the above listed outboard motor. Starts right up, runs smooth; by I'm having fuel leak from where the motorhead meets the lower unit...... Please advise what might be causing this.

Have you removed the motor's cowling (engine's cover) and looked for this fuel leak? With the cover off, look good at fuel related components (fuel lines, carb, fuel pump). I hope this I an easy find as a crack, clamp or flooding. be very careful toward finding the leak before a spark finds it.

Send some good Pics of the carbs and fuel pump.

How much??
A few drips?? Normal.
The unburned gas/oil works it way down and finds a way out.

Lots of fuel? Bad fuel pump?

I've looked all over the powerhead, around carb, fuel pump and fuel filter. Nothing pooling under the motor. More than a drip, but not spraying out. It's the two stroke fuel.

Is there an additive to add to fuel to use a black light to help find a leak after a power wash? Fuel fires can be bad. I hope I saw my last in 1960 priming a Lawn Mower w/o experience, precautions and fire extinguishing equipment "Close"!!! This could sound like too much "But do what is needed before you have a fire". With that much fuel show, I hope it's an easy find and fix.

Do as jerryjerry suggest, check the fuel pump diaphragm.
I think you have a bad diaphragm with a hole in it.
