working on the famous no sprak issue. Decided to remove all parts and clean up and check wires.
There is an extra part not shown on any schematic i can find. It is a small fused box bolted to the head on the port side lower piston of the engine. It is aluminum with a resin sealed back. What is it?
Also Can I test the timer base out of the engine? One coil shows continuity from the pick up to the grounded timer base and the other coil does not. Ther is continuity when checking the wires from each coil. No continuity when checking each wire to timer base as ground. New Stator last summer and new power pack last summer. Ran until I installed Kill switch lanyard and had the ingnition switch out. Check the switch and also tested for spark with the black and yellow kill wire removed. Must have burt something.
