1975 Johnson 135 "hood latches"

I just bought a 1975 Johnson 135 hp motor that seems to be in great shape. The only real problem I have found with it appears to be that it looks like it should have a third latch to hold down the top cover in the front that is missing. Can that be replaced and if so where would I go about looking for one? Thanks for the help.

Try marineengines.com and they should have it. There diagrams are killer.

I had one of those motors and yes there is a front latch. You might also find one at a boat salvage yard, there is a sticky listing a bunch of them somewhere on the site.
