1975 Johnson 15hp

Hello all, I have acquired a Johnson 15hp 15r75s. I am new to this engine. Any advice on engine would help.

To more a cathartic discussion, I trade my 1962 Elgin/Mcculloch 7.5hp running and in great shape with a Ted Williams/Mcculloch 1968 9hp in running shape but needing hoses on carb + $100. Felt it was a good deal. He had the head gasket replaced and carb rebuilt with new water pump. I have other issues between him and me on trade as hes called twice to get the deal undone but hand shake is a hand shake. Sorry the vent:facepalm:.

Thanks Rick, unfortunately Ive come to a fork in road, individual is calling house repeatedly and wanting to undo trade. So I took high road and Im back to my old engines. Im happy and $100 back in pocket. I know my engines and the comfort of rebuilds is I knew mine inside out. His without rebuilding and working on it myself could have been dead in water.... had to say it! thanks for you link. If I get a broken one Ill have you to thank for place to go for more info.
