I assume it is as it seems to run good. It's off the boat now as I repair the transom, (another topic), but i ran it on the water before i bought the boat and it seemed ok. I checked compression and it was between 119 and 122 on all 4 cylinders. Is that on the low end or high end of the scale for this motor? I don't have a manual for it yet so just checking to see if anyone knows. the guy I got it from said he had the pistons reworked 7 years ago but who knows. Just wondering if it is worth putting back on because if i do I will need to find new brackets that hold it to the boat because electrolysis got to the original ones. any idea where I might find these at? thanks,

Rich

Compression reading are fine and even better they are without any significant differential. Bracket stuff is best gotten at a OB salvage place. New will be very expensive.
