1975 Johnson 85hp outboard

I have a 1975 Johnson 85hp outboard. It seems to be missing some sort of linkage part in the throttle / choke assembly. I can't be any more specific than that without a picture.<br /><br />I am looking for a manual or better yet a parts diagram for this engine so I can determine what the missing part is.<br /><br />Any ideas? I am trying to get a picture of the engine to post so I can show exactly where the part goes.

Howdy, RTownes.<br /><br />You need a manual. <br /><br />Aftermarket manuals (Seloc and Clymer) are available here. Go to the bottom of the page and click on "Repair Manuals".<br /><br />If you expect to get into detailed maintenance you might prefer an OEM manual from OMC. That can be found on eBay or at your neighborhood JohnnyRude dealer.<br /><br />Good luck.
