1975 Johnson 25hp , Model #25R58 Sea Horse. Is this a pull start only or can you add a ignition . It has a starter on it but no wiring.

I have a friend who just bought a 1972 Johnson 25hp used(obviously) and it is set up to handle an electric or pull start. I would assume that the 1975 is the same. I'm sure there are otherson this forum that can provide additional information.

Also my buddy hasn't been able to get it to turn using the key so we've just been getting some excercise using the pull cord.
