Hello All,

I have been playing around with this motor and I have come to a stad still. I cannot get it to startor even turn over for that matter. I just put in a new carb and the plugs are seeing the fuel. I even tried a quick spray of either which served no purpose as the engine dident even stutter.

I removed the plugs and checked for spark, one side seemed to be a little eratic but spark was present. I removed the coils and both metered out to 1.4 ohms, I also metered both legs to ground and it came up clean.

I metered the 4 green wires of the switch box that go to the coils directly to ground and one of the 4 is showing some type of high resistance ground. This is leading me to beleive that it is a switch box issue but before I spend $200 on a new one I would like to be certain.

One thing I noticed is the kill switch is no good and I removed that temp. and still nothing.

Is there anything else I can check or look at? I removed the flywheel and physcially checked the stator which is in great shape and looks practically brand new.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Did you use a spark checker or just grounded out the plugs. I'm not 100% sure, but that ohm reading on the coils seems a little low.
