1975 mercury 65 hp

Is this a good motor? I have an opertunity to buy a 1965 chriscraft 17 foot boot with this morter on it.I don't care much for the boat as I do for the motor.

Thy weren't the best idleing engines in the world but seemed to be pretty trouble free

Is that year electronic ignition or distributor? The 3cyl distributor was unreliable.<br />Eric
