1976 115hp w/o water pee stream?

I had a frankinstein 1974 1969 115hp v4 and my new to me all stock 1976 115hp v4 does not have a water pee hose and the cover base does not have a hole in it for a factory hose to be there like my last omc.. i have had it in the water and no water peeing out the motor from anywhere i have looked.. i ran 10gal though it today so it must be cooling.

They did not have one, but you can add one. Check the top secret file in this forum for a good tutorial

You may want to check your over heat horn out to make sure that's working. Go back on the mtr and find a tan wire going to one of the cyl heads. Seperate the connector, turn on your key and ground out the mtr wiring side of the harness. You should hear the horn sound. If not, trouble shoot it.

I have a 1977 that was the same way, I installed a pisser last winter and it was really easy working off what was on this sight. Best thing I have done so far, always nice to know that it is circulating correctly!

i grounded the temp wire and found the buzzer to give off one click thats it. so i wired up a small but very very loud high pitch auto alarm siren, so even if someone else drives the boat they will know something bad it happening..... and i will check out the mod asap. if you could post the link that would be great..


now on to the problem that motor runs a bit soft but very very clean, sometimes; and other times rips out of the hole and revs a good 500+rpm more as if i increased output 30%... cleaned carbs and checks hoses, fuel pump and tanks vent fine. not sure where to look, but at wot sometimes its revs very flat 4500rpm and other times it kinda surges and screams like there it more power left past 5500rpm
