Welcome to the Starmada. Sweet looking falcon. That 55 'rude should move it around nicely.

Re: 1976 14ft Starcraft Falcon restoration

Well this last weekend the weather cooperated I finally got some time to work on the boat.

As you can see i started to pull the transom out and oh man is it rotten. I thought the weather was turning around but we got another 3 inches today, but i guess that Minnesnowta for ya.

I got 24 more days of school till I graduate college; so I will be pretty busy with school until then. I am guessing not a lot of work will get done on the boat so you will have to be patient :p

We'll let you slide a little. But after you get the sheepskin, back to work. :) And congrats to you!

It's gonna take a little while to get the transom glued together for a pattern anyway. Looks like it's ready for the garden, all mulchy. :grumpy:

This is what it looks like at the moment. Got some more to strip but its getting there. Unfortunately I noticed some rivits leaking :( what is the best way to stop this I kinda like to keep the polished look but might not be possible now?

The best/easiest way to fix leaking rivets in an aluminum boat:
1989 Sylvan Boat Rebuild Part 4 - YouTube

Turn your boat back over when you finish stripping and fill it with a few inches of water, the look underneath for the leaking rivets and mark them. Repair as in the video.
