Sharing pics of the latest improvement on my StarCraft SuperSport 22. We were out on the Delaware River twice over the weekend, which was great after some underwhelming boat weather for the year so far. I still keep forgetting to take out the SOTY plaque on the water for some sun and a proper photoshoot lol.
The install was a second permanent gas tank (12 gal) under my transom. I was lucky enough to get the tank off Facebook Marketplace last fall.
This replaces the two 6 gallon portables that I was storing in this same space, and I used the same fuel feed line and fuel selector switch. I was having trouble with the red tanks swelling and not properly venting the gas fumes ( damn EPA rules ), and last summer I had a gas dripping leak from the fitting into my bilge. Having this tank with the vent and hoses installed permanently should eliminate that worry. I was even able to reuse the original fuel fill location on top of the transom (new hardware).
