Hey Guys new hear and new to working on outboards.
I have a problem with my 76 Johnson. There is no spark to the top cylinder, so I noticed my coil was cracked so I replaced it, still no spark. So i played around with swapping the wires and coils and I can get spark out of the new coil when i swap the wire sets and I have isolated my problem to the wires )with the blue set of tape) that run into the magneto/flywheel/amature plate and the ignition coil.
I am having trouble removing the flywheel as it wont budge so I cant get in to set the points. Does anyone have an idea of what I should do next. CAn I just replace that set of wires and fix my problem?
Thanks,
Jason
