I just bought a fishing boat with a 1976 35hp rude, model 35602G. It's a pull start and was hoping to install a starter on it. The flywheel has teeth, the rope engages on the top of the flywheel but I don't see a starter in the parts section for a 76' 35hp motor. Any input would be appreciated.

You can probably find a starter for your motor on ebay for a decent price along with the bracket.

Re: 1976 35hp starter?

Twin City hasn't reponded yet and every website that I try doesn't list a 1976 35hp starter. The lists cover "25HP 1972-76" & "25,35HP 1977-88". ???? The flywheel has the teeth for a starter. The pull rope and recoil mechinism do not interface whith the teeth of the flywheel. The interface for the recoil mech meshes with the top of the flywheel. Any help appreciated.
