Hi Could Anyone Tell Me If The 1976 40 Hp Johnson Motor All Come With The Old Cable Style Steering Or Did They Come With The Ride Guide Style Steering Can The Brackets Be Changed To Use The Newer Style Thanks Mitch
No tilt tube style brackets for that one. You can use push-pull steering with a transom support mount, but I don't like them because they don't work well on that motor.
