1976 70Hp evinrude Tilt trim

Want to get a power tilt and trim for my 1976 70HP evinrude. What year and model will fit? I have found one for sale, But the seller says This

"You will need the proper bracket to replace on your motor to bolt the tilt&trim to. I will remove it from the blown up motor { which is from a 1978 90hp } the other number was a 140hp that has the identical T&T unit in it. With this bracket the tilt&trim will bolt up.
I will include it with the tilt & trim assembly.

Can anyone confirm that this setup will work. My engine is a rude 70Hp Model#70673D 1976 Thanks

That unit won't work for a number of reasons (at least not without a bunch of fabrication). The T&T from 4 cyl motors won't adapt to the 3 cyl motors and 78' and newer units won't work for pre-'78 motors. Sadly the aftermarket CMC unit is your best bet and they are $$$. The upside is they are great units and hold their value well so if you ever got a new motor with T&T you could sell the CMC unit for close to what you paid for it.

Ya those CMC units are great. The only thing is it cost more that what i payed for the boat lol. Just like tooling around with the older stuff. Built great. Thanks Guys

Sorry guys. Does anyone have a picture of what this Tilt Trim Unit looks like. Just so I have an Idea if I located one on Ebay or used somewhere. Thanks

Well I got a CMC PT130 from off of a used deals site. payed 300 canadian for it. they also included the transom plate that 70 bucks extra. My cousin has a machine shop `````I`m going to let him see it and he said he could make an pretty much identical one for my other boat.If it goes well maybe i`ll have some for sell. let you guys know. OH and for half the cost. Oh buy the way does anyone have an original repair manual for 1976 evinrude. Copy or cd>

I have a 1977 OMC parts & accessories catalog with diagram and parts list of power tilt and trim for 70-75-85-115-with 20" transon. If it would help would be glad to e-mail copy to you.
