The throttle cable adjustment is done at the engine end. Disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle lever on the engine. Normally, that engine throttle lever will move to the idle position. If not, make sure it is in the idle position. Put the control box lever in neutral. Adjust the cable so that it exactly matches the throttle lever and reconnect it. The throttle cable is adjusted by screwing the threaded casing nut on the outer cable-engine end. You may find that you need to make a minor adjustment to the casing nut.
