1976 Black Max 175 lower unit

Does anyone have the approximate weight of the 175 lower unit. I see where several threads recommend that two people pull the unit off, but nobody says how heavy it is. I'm going to try it alone.

It should be slightly heavier than an inline 4 or 6 LU. I have handled these alone w/o issue.

An Alpha i drive is much heavier.

Yes you can do it as a one person job. I have done it many times. However, the fun part will be putting it back on. Getting the shaft spines to aline when your alone is not an easy task. If you could get any set of second hands to turn the flywheel a little to aline the splines as you push it back in would be very helpfull.
