Hi all,
I'm trying to remove the control arm from a 1976 Chris Craft Lancer. It's a single control arm possibly made by Marmac. There was a set screw at the bottom of the arm that I have removed. The arm is on a horizontal splined shaft that goes back behind the the vinyl siding upholstery. I can move the handle horizontally toward me (away from the upholstery) about 1/3 of the way and then the handle hangs up and will not pull off any further.
The center of the splined shaft receives a small stud that holds a pullout (not shown) for throttle adjustment while in neutral. I've tried this both in the out and in position. Have also tried in forward and reverse.
Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative method?
