1976 evinrude 115 should it pea

I have a 76 115 h rude I finally have it running right . But I was wondering if there should be water coming out the 2 exhaust holes in the back of the motor.I have replaced the water pump because it was dry rotted. The shady Mech. Told me it all comes out of the prop. Is this true

It should barely come out of the two exhaust holes on the back of the mid-section if hooked up to water hose and muffs. When you have it hooked up to the water hose it will hardly come out. But if you have the bottom in water it will come out of those holes.

Hold your hand back by the exhaust relief holes and start the engine. After 30-50 seconds the thermostat (vernatherm) will open. When it opens, water droplets will form on your hand. That's normal.
