Re: 1976 Evinrude 15 hp 15605A

it ended up being a long shaft.

got a 1976 evinrude 15HP SS instead, a little problem when i went to change the water pump, but nothing JB Weld could not solve.
Damn, i thought 500 was high , but when you look at CL............. well at least it runs super smooth, has new Powerpacks and well i tore into the water pump just because.
good thing i did, because a chunk was missing on the port side wall, and some idiot fixed it by putting in a rubber piece. useless, and did not do squat. can't wait to see how much more pressure i get , but gonna wait 24 hours before i do anything to let it get solid first.

my current issue is the rod to adjust the tilt is rusted and frozen into place, any ideas on how to get it out ????

You can try a little heat on it and see if that works?
