1976 Evinrude 85 Model Nos Difference

Looking at 1976 Evinrude 85 Sat am. What is the difference between the 95693D, 85693G, and 85699G models?

Also did the 76 have the upgraded Mag ignition?

Pretty difficult to tell the exact differences. They are all the same drive shaft length, and the carbs appear to be jetted the same, so there must be some small differences. You can check the differences out yourself on the factory exploded parts diagram website: epc.brp.com Compare the 3 85 hp models to each other to check for those differences.

Agreed, the way to determine the differences is to wade through the parts books. A wild guess suggests the -699 may have factory Power Tilt & Trim. (???)
Yes, the '76 has Mag CD ignition.
