Looked at this boat today. It's definately a fixer-upper. It's a 1976. Everything works.

I was told it was 32ft. but I think he was wrong.
(the owner is out of town, and the info I'm getting is 3rd. party)
I measured it and from the back of the boat to the tip is 25.5 ft.

Any idea what model this is? It has a Flybridge.

This is what it has:

351 Windsor, Merc drive, thru-hull exhaust, freshwater cooling, fresh manifolds.
Porta-crapper, VHF equipment, icebox, sink.

Caulkins tandem trailer w/brakes.

Ok, the bad news.. The floor needs replaced, but it looks like the owner is underway with that, as the floor is already removed.

The engine bay looks great. Nice and clean. Boat has been sitting approx. 10 years, so the gelcoat is faded as well as the bottom paint needs replaced. There is no major damage as far as I can tell.

What's it worth?

Also, does anyone know approx. how much the tounge weight will be on it?

I have a heavy-half ton 4x4 with 2500 lb overloads and big block V8.. WIll that pull it?

Thanks,

H.

I'll bet that rig is at least 8000 pounds. You can pull it, but I wouldn't want to try to stop it with 1/2 ton brakes!!!

The trailer has brakes.

Would I still be safe?

H.

No Sir!

I NEVER trust trailer brakes fully, especially surge brakes. You canot control the rate of application.

The boat is only worth about 2500.00. If the trailer is a tandem it is worth around 2000.00 if it is in good shape. I would pull the lag bolts for the engine mounts and look for stringer rot.

32'FB on a trailer? Its only worth as much as you are willing to pay plus another 20K or more to get it in the water. If a project is what you want, sounds like you found it. Enjoy

Welcome to iboats!

You will be getting a scolding any minute now for raising an 8-year-old thread from the dead. I have a feeling the OP has solved his problems and/or moved on to another boat.

I had one of those 20 years ago. It's a Fiberform Baja if it's 8-0' wide. Mine had twin 350's w/280 Volvo drives. (built with 307's) Heavy SOB, mine was 10.800 on the trailer. What you're looking at will be 1500# lighter. In 77' they radically lightened the hull going to blown glass. Still, it's a bunch of boat and a handful in the wind. Trim tabs are a MUST. Mine was very quick to plane with the hotrod twins. With the single screw I'd bet not so much. Rides like a rock but also built like one, I've always sort of missed it. No idea what it's worth with the bad floor.
