1976 johnson 70hp

i checked charge coil readings, should be 555-705 ohms but reads 1300ohms. why? also checked compression, reads good by the manual. also bought a puller but the bolts don't fit the flywheel. What size bolts do i need?

i THINK that you need 1/4-20x2 bolts (dia=1/4" 20 threads/in2 inch long)<br /><br />EDIT> Oh yeah, you'll likely need 1/4-20 nuts to put on the bolts to adjust bolt shank lenght into fly puller and wheel. Maybe washers in front of the nuts, depends on the type of puller you've got<br />Good Luck<br />HAVE FUN!
