Need some help locating parts for this motor. Like engine controls with cables. Can someone help me out with this??

you motor should have big red connection plug. any control and wiring harness with the matching big red plug will work, these controls were used for years, and are universal between Johnson/evinrude. throttle and control cable can be replaced, with teleflex cables. you do need the correct ends on the cables for your vintage motor. teleflex.com then clik instructions.

Any BRP dealer can help you or better yet- buy from iboats! Parts for that outboard are pretty easy.

I have a 1976 Johnson that I need to get out of my yard. It has everything you would need. I am in Florida.

As was mentioned, any of the control boxes with the red plug wiring harness will work, c. 1974 to early 1990s. If you want to be period "correct" you'll want to find one of the Johnson Powershift II control boxes, with the warm-up lever on the left side and the pleather top cover.

Love those Stingers! Got one myself...
