i need to know how to take my lower unit apart to put a new shaft in i took the 4-bolts out behind the prop do i need to use a puller to get it out

Check you library for a manual, or buy one. The Seloc has the procedure, & I'm sure the OMC Factory Manual has an even better write-up on it.

the manual is very specific about this , you also have to disconnect the shift linkage in order to pull the lower unit.

the lower unit already off this my old one want to put a new shaft in it i broke my other one

Yes, the bearing carrier needs to be pulled. You can fairly easily construct one with 1/4-20 threaded rod. Sometimes some heat on the l/u housing is required to get the carrier broke free.
