Any ideas on the switch the diagram above shows. I don't have one on my motor.

The Mercury switch is a tilt/trim limit switch for models that have that. Most guys take them off the motor, I took the one off my 140 Merc.

The mercury (small m) switch (grounds) kills the ignition if the motor hits something and kicks up. See how it is connected to ground and the orange killer wire?

Well I think the Switch box and rectifier are fried. Ordered new ones. I noticed 2 of the 4 brand new plugs look like they had been firing but not the other 2.
